At the heart of the ALT-X FM Roadshow is Paul Rumsey, one of Los Angeles’s former highest-paid 80s club DJs. Paul’s journey began in the local pubs of the UK and as the Roadshow DJ for Radio Caroline before moving to LA, where he mastered radio, club performances, and event production in Los Angeles & Las Vegas (A highlight was producing and MCing the Bob Hope Reunion Show at the Tropicana in Las Vegas in the early ’90s). Now, he’s back to spin vinyl in the place where it all started, blending nostalgia with cutting-edge expertise.

Step behind a beautifully restored, old‑school disco console (see below) and take control of real vinyl. DJ Paul Rumsey guides you and your guests through the art of cueing, mixing and feeling music the way it was meant to be played — hands on, warm, and wonderfully imperfect.
The console has been fully refurbished, PAT‑tested, and brought back to life with the character and charm of classic disco gear. You’ll take to the decks, try your first mix, and enjoy a proper vinyl moment with Paul chaperoning you throughout.
This works brilliantly as a standalone attraction or as the perfect warm‑up before Paul takes over with the full Roadshow. Availability is limited, so early booking is recommended.
